Type: High-rise

Status: Concept
This proposal reinterprets the Jeddah high-rise not as a static extrusion, but as a dynamic environmental vortex. Drawing from the kinetic energy of Arabic calligraphy, the tower’s morphology is a continuous, ascending stroke that twists to mitigate solar gain while accelerating prevailing winds for passive ventilation. The podium refuses the traditional tower-on-plinth typology; instead, it operates as an “urban suture,” a fluid landscape system
that weaves together the adjacent high-speed infrastructure with the riparian ecology of the waterfront. This is parametric design utilized not merely for formal novelty, but to generate a resilient, culturally resonant urban anchor responsive to the extreme demands of its arid context.
